Room Description:
Skamania Lodge guestrooms boast of commanding views of the Columbia River Gorge or the forests of the Cascade Mountains. Room types vary. Each room features a luxurious, distinctly Northwest feel to match the Lodge's spectacular location near Portland, OR and Hood River.
Each room is appointed with in-room coffee makers, in-house movies, terrycloth robes, wi-fi & data ports, in-room dining services available and windows that open to the fresh mountain air. Rooms and suites feature original artwork, richly textured fabrics, northwest style wood furnishings and all the comforts of a mountain lodge.
Hotel Amenities:
"Skamania" is the Chinook Indian word for "swift water". The resort, which overlooks the Columbia River is aptly named, as there are also over 70 waterfalls nearby, including the famous Multnomah Falls, which, at 620 feet, is the fifth highest waterfall in the United States. The Lodge was designed to be reminiscent of the great lodges of the early 1900's, which had charm and appeal, and contained all the modern guest conveniences. The four story Cascadian style lodge incorporates use of wood, stone, timbers and black wrought iron.
The Waterleaf Spa and Fitness Center offers a relaxing, comfortable, soothing place, ideal for a Skamania Lodge Getaway or a day spa treatment in an intimate setting. Body Rock Massage and Body Ritual Treatment are just two of the favorites.
Any guest to the Waterleaf Spa between Monday and Friday can receive treatments for under 30 minutes with Express Services.
USPLTA guest will have access to three scenic hiking trails, family putting green, health club, pool and outdoor hot tub, tennis and basketball courts and bike rentals.
USPLTA guests will have unlimited free local calls, 24 hour access to the Technology Room, wireless high-speed internet in guestrooms, Gorge Room, Cascade Dining Room and River Rock Lounge.
